As luck would have it! On this summer weekend morning, radiant sunlight shines across the bay. You climb aboard the teak deck and slide your bags into the lined lockers. Slipping between the pontoons, the U.69 Carbon enters the channel. Passers-by turn their heads, this RIB doesn't pass unnoticed. You quietly increase the revs, with your family settled on the giant sunbathing area. Taking to the open water, hands on the stainless steel wheel, in the shade of the T-top, you smile. Our day out to this little inlet is going to be perfect.

U.69 Carbon - unbelievably classy

Rib U.69 Carbon

The first boat to come out of our shipyards, the revolutionary design of the U69 surprised the world of sailing and in particular the world of RIBs. "The design of the U.69 Carbon fulfils a desire to put technology to use by creating new sensations! " Xavier Pillet, UFO Managing Director. The elegant and bold design of the U69 Carbon brings to mind legendary cabriolets, whose sportiness and aesthetics surprise and stir. Like all our products, the U69 Carbon uses the best high-tech materials and cutting-edge technologies. Its deep-V planing hull, designed by Xavier Pillet, is tailored for high performance. Built with a robust carbon/epoxy/kevlar sandwich nearly three centimetres thick, its rigidity gives it a stimulating responsiveness for sporty sailing. Our legendary stepped hull reduces the wetted surface area and improves the top speed by a few knots.

The vertical bow lengthens the hull and gives exemplary handling in chop and ensures the water is cut finely. The design beneath the waterline has been further improved to enhance high speed stability and to accommodate a 250hp motor. This surprising stability enables tight turns without sideslipping, where the U.69 Carbon demonstrates distinguished sailing qualities.

The pneumatic floatation chambers are made from hypalon neoprene, a polymer fabric selected for its excellent resistance to sunlight, temperature and chemicals, notably hydrocarbons. A strake protects against chafing, and fabric-covered grab rails allow passengers to hang on when the boat accelerates. The head rope uses a superb roller bow sheave for worry-free mooring. We have carefully considered life on board. Walking over the beautiful teak deck finished with white joints, bronzing yourself on the sun deck, eating at the table in the dining area, diving into the blue waters and then showering on deck, living aboard a UFO is always a pleasure. The comprehensive equipment is all discreetly integrated into the interior design, such that the boat is easy to walk around and offers a spacious interior.
